Eye exam is an app designed to help you check your vision, just like you would when visiting an ophthalmologist. Of course, this app can't replace the experts, but it can give you a rough idea of whether you need to visit a specialist or if, on the contrary, your vision is still in good condition.
The way Eye exam works is very simple. Just tap on the Start Exam button, then choose the type of exam you want to take: letters, C symbol, drawings, or W symbol. Each test has a unique purpose, different from the rest, but they all have a very similar structure, which must be followed to the letter if you want accurate results.
First, cover one eye, and with your other hand, hold your smartphone as far as possible from your face. After that, all you have to do is follow the instructions on the screen, which mostly consist of identifying the small images that appear. Basically, the app determines the condition of your vision according to how many images you identify correctly. Typically, if you get all or most of the questions right, Eye exam will tell you that your vision is fine, and you don't need to visit a specialist. If, on the other hand, you miss several questions, you may need to visit an ophthalmologist.
Eye exam is a very useful app, because it gives you a quick and easy way to check if you need glasses or if your vision is getting worse. It's a good idea to take the app's tests at least once every three months to make sure your vision isn't deteriorating over time. And if it is, then you can make an appointment with an expert.
